S.H. Figuarts Yuki Mori
Yuki Mori serves as the Space Battleship Yamato’s Radar Operator and is a member of the ship’s senior staff.
You gotta love the details on the badge of her uniform.
Yuki comes with various expressions and hand poses that really work well with the figure.
Yuki Mori suffers from amnesia as a result of a car bomb assassination attempt on Iscandarian emissary, Princess Yurisha Iscandar, one year prior to the events of SBP Yamato 2199. She has no recollection of her past. She also bears an uncanny resemblance to Princess Yurisha, resulting in various plot situations and conflicts on the ship’s voyage to Iscandar.
She also comes with a tablet computer.
Lastly, she comes with the standard issue Type 97 pistol.
With the Soul of Chogokin Gx-86 Space Battleship Yamato 2202
I like this figure, Bandai did a great job on the sculpts for this and it compliments the SOC Yamato(s) very well. I was fortunate enough to get her bundled with the Gx-86 Yamato 2202, since I was really planning to backtrack her later on, nice.
That said though, I’ll probably pass on the S.H. Figuarts Akira Yamamoto since I never really found the character interesting or iconic enough (the original generation Akira character was actually a guy, in the 2199-2202 versions they made her into a girl). If they had made a S.H. Figuarts Susumu Kodai to partner with her, I would’ve gotten him in a heartbeat.
