Soul of Chogokin Gx-105G Mazinger Z CHOGOKIN 50th Anniversary Exclusive
Similar to the other Chogokin 50th Anniversary figures, this set comes with an outer plastic baggie.
Unlike the other Dynamic Classics figure sets, this set’s display base doesn’t come with an additional accessory tray inside.
At least the manual is in full color. It’s a repurposed Gx-105 Mazinger Z Kakumei Shinka manual with an additional page showcasing the display base.

Pileder On!
A straight up gold chrome redeco of the Gx-105 Mazinger Z Kakumei Shinka, this variant is exclusive to the Tamashii Nations 2025 event. A reused Dynamic Classics display base with a new nameplate is included for it to have a proper base to stand on.

Jet Scrander
Take extra care when attaching the Scrander clip, as it can scratch the figure in this scenario due to the shiny chrome surface.
Display base

I still find the design for the display base attachment arm super awkward; it just can’t hold onto Mazinger Z with the Jet Scrander equipped.
Mazinger Z stands roughly 7 inches tall and weighs 243 grams (263 Grams with the Jet Scrander mounted).

Sigh… my copy comes with some serious scratches on its belly right out of the box. This is a first for me when it comes to Bandai event exclusives, they usually come without any issues since they have a more controlled production run.
Overall, it’s another Mazinger Z in a toyline that’s already peppered with Mazinger Zs. That said, it still looks pretty good and eye-catching on any shelf. It also has more shelf presence compared to the Gx-01RG from over a decade ago IMHO.
I was honestly surprised when they announced another repaint of the Gx-105 so soon after the Mastermind Japan Mazinger Z redeco, and that’s on top of all the redeco releases already crammed out for 2024-2025 so far. Ohhh, Bandai.. what are you doing?
Suffice it to say, if you’re not invested in completing every repaint variant in the Soul of Chogokin line, then this is an easy pass.
Funfact: This figure marks TWENTY-NINTH release of a Mazinger Z repaint/ redeco/ redesign in the Soul of Chogokin line.
