Transformers Age of the Primes Deluxe Class Swerve
As the Autobot’s metallurgist, Swerve is an expert at analyzing all sorts of metals as well as provide details on the subject’s physical and chemical properties. A bit of a goof, Swerve is easily distracted and tends to not pay attention when he’s driving or given specific duties, usually resulting in unwanted accidents.
The figure is a retool redeco of Legacy Deluxe Class Gears.
Swerve comes with the same weapon as Legacy Gears.
Speaking of Gears, Swerve also comes the same chest panel.
The blaster can be mounted on the side of the backpack in robot mode.
Swerve’s blaster can be mounted on top in alt mode.
Overall, pretty good. Like Gears before it, we now have a proper looking, show-accurate Swerve.
While Swerve never really did much in the old cartoons (lol.. he only got stepped on by Trypticon in the Five Faces of Darkness, that’s it, his only appearance in the G1 cartoon lore), his character was given a proper spotlight in the IDW comic runs and he actually became interesting and a lot of fun to follow in the comics.
I do wish it came with a “My First Blaster” accessory as an homage to the IDW comics, but I guess Hasbro needed to cut corners somehow.
