Transformers Collaboration G.i. Joe x Transformers Kup Triple T

As usual, I’m keeping the retro G.i. Joes carded for now.

One of the oldest Autobots on the team, Kup’s been around since before the start of the Autobot-Decepticon war. Wise from ages of experiences and personal adventures, Kup loves to give advice to any of the younger ‘bots who are willing to listen to his war stories. While he usually knows what to do in any given situation by recalling past situations, he can occasional get stuck when a wholly new, never-encountered dilemma presents itself.

Kup in robot mode stands roughly 9 inches tall.
Kup’s weapons can all be stored on his backpack.
Kup’s backpack can open up to reveal a computer console for the Joes to “interact” with.
There are foot pegs for classic 3.75” Joes to stand on.
For weaponry, Kup can use the blasters on the Triple T as pistols.

Top bad Kup can’t wrist-mount the rockets from the tank mode as well. I think that would’ve been cool.
Sgt. Slaughter’s Triple “T” (“Tag Team Terminator”) tank mode
Sgt. Slaughter’s personal battle vehicle from the “A Real American Hero” cartoons and movie. The vehicle is pretty iconic as he’s usually riding in it into the fray in every battlefield scene he’s in.
I am really impressed at how everything hides up quite nicely for the alt mode.
The tampo details are really nice too. I prefer these over the messy stickers that eventually peel off from the old days.
Sarge’s baton and Leatherneck’s accessories can all be mounted on the grill plate on the back of the vehicle mode.
Tow hook for pulling other Joe vehicles when they “breakdown”.
Same as with the robot mode, the backpack grill plate can be lowered down to reveal the computer console.
Sarge’s got a lot of leg room.
Naturally, the vehicle comes with the same weapons as the original vintage Triple T tank.

Overall, I’m happy with the figure. I’m really glad Hasbro started using ratchet joints for the figures in this line, as the Megatron and Bumblebee ones were complete floppy messes without the ratchets. Even better, we don’t see many gaps in the robot mode and the vehicle mode hides all the robot parts very neatly. I think this is by far one of the better-designed crossover toys under the G.i. Joe X Transformers Collaboration line.
Character-wise, I wasn’t too sure about Kup being the chosen character for the Triple T, but I guess not many Autobots can quite fit the bill as Sgt. Slaughter’s partner. Ironhide maybe? But then it’s too far removed from his usual “all-red” motif for the vehicle mode.
I’m really hoping we get a Hound as VAMP in the line, as well as Prime as either the MOBAT or the Mauler? Time will tell.
I still have to backtrack the Soundwave/ Thunder Machine set since my original pre-order from a local seller went unfulfilled for some reason.
FUNFACT: All the characters in this boxset are sergeant-ranked.
