Transformers Generations Thunderwing
Based on the Pretender character, in the classic Marvel Transformers comics, Thunderwing came into possession of the Autobot Matrix after coming across Optimus Prime’s old body (the Autobots ejected Prime’s deactivated body into space, not knowing about the Matrix inside), gaining the Matrix’s power and corrupting the Matrix itself with the concept of evil. Optimus Prime finally regained control of the Matrix in the final battle against Unicron.
