Transformers Studio Series 86 – 04 Voyager Class Hot Rod
Brave and usually reckless, this young Autobot usually charges in without hesitation, bringing the cavalry with him to save the day when things get too hot for the Autobots to handle.
Usually, Hot Rod’s weapons of choice are his forearm-mounted blasters.
The set even come with effects parts for the forearm blasters.
Impressively, the figure also has optional visor which can be flipped down to complete the look of the “Lookout Mountain” battle scene from the 1986 movie.
Hot Rod also comes with his Photon Blasters based on his G1 toy.
Hasbro also included the saw blade from the Giant squid battle scene from the 1986 movie.
All of his weapons can be mounted on his back.
Finally, Hot Rod also comes with a “welding torch” hidden in his right arm from the “repairing Kup” scene from the movie.
Of course, last but not least, Hot Rod comes with the Autobot Matrix of Leadership!
It even comes with effects parts! Outstanding!!!
Putting the figure on the diorama makes the scene come alive!

His weapons can be mounted together on the vehicle mode. However, be mindful that his guns are painted silver on red plastic though, so the constant rubbing of the connection ports might ruin the paint.
Alternately, you can also choose to mount them on the roof instead of the hood.
Overall, Hands down, the best Hotrod figure ever released from Hasbro. This thing can give the Masterpiece version a run for its money. I was totally blown away at how good this figure is! Almost every detail from the movie is here (except for the fishing rod). I love it! Well done, Hasbro design team, well done.
