Bandai Macross Hi-Metal R VF-1J Milya Fallyna Jenius Custom
Released as a Tamashii Website Exclusive (unlike the Max Jenius which was a mass retail release), Milya comes with the same FAST pack parts as her husband. Based on the unit’s appearance in the TV series (she never rode a Valkyrie in the “Do You Remember Love?” movie)
Optional shoulder cover plate included.
The Hi Metal R Valkyrie typically weighs 73 Grams (110 with the FAST Pack parts) and stands 6.25 inches tall (counting tip of the antennae).
Diecast parts include:
-Feet
-Main joints and the “spine” of the figure for transforming.
Side note: Previously, Bandai included optional antennae for their Hi Metal-R Valkyries (the VF1J with GBP Armor and Strike Valkyrie came with spare antennae), but this seems to have been discontinued. Too bad.
Gun Pod
Display Base
The set has 3 various attachment pieces, depending on the unit type. This is the for the Battroid mode.
FAST Pack equipped
It’s been a while since I watched the series, so I’m not 100% sure her unit ever got FAST Pack equipped on the show. But I guess it’s cool that Bandai included this in this set.
FAST is an acronym that stands for Fuel Armor Sensor Tactical. Aside from the added armor and armament, the FAST pack also offers additional sensors for earlier enemy detection and increased speed due to added verniers and propellant and coolant tanks.
Gerwalk mode
Adapter plug for the Gerwalk mode for the display base.
Removable canopy and exposed radar dish.
With the Hi-Metal R VF-1J Maximillian Jenius Custom
FAST Packs equipped
Gerwalks
Battroids
I was originally going to pass on the recolors, but considering I’m somewhat going to complete the various mechanical design variations for the Macross Hi Metal R line now, I figured may as well backtrack Max and Milya when my friend offered his set to me. Roy Fokker VF1S will be getting a reissue next year with a Regult Scout as a 2-pack.
