Bandai Macross Hi-Metal R VF-1J Maximillian Jenius Custom
Maximillian Jenius (aka Max Sterling in the US Robotech release, or just Max) is a genius ace fighter pilot, being able to target opponents with pinpoint accuracy and at an expert in combat through all 3 modes of his machine. He later defeats and becomes romantically involved with the Maltraedi Milya and she becomes his wingmate on combat missions during the 1st Space War.
Optional shoulder cover plate (for Anime accuracy).
The Hi Metal-R VF1J weighs roughly 74 Grams and 111 Grams with FAST Pack equipped. The figure stands roughly 6.25 inches tall (counting the tip of the antennae).
Diecast parts include:
-Feet
-Main joints and the “spine” of the figure for transforming.
Side note: Previously, Bandai included optional antennae for their Hi Metal-R Valkyries (the VF1J with GBP Armor and Strike Valkyrie came with spare antennae), but this seems to have been discontinued. Too bad.

Overall, both units compliment each other beautifully, though I think I’m a bit more partial to the red colors on Milya’s unit compared to Max’s. I really wish all Hi Metal-R Valks came with the display base, it just really adds a whole lot of display choices to the figures.
