Do note that the knot on his robe can be easily undone, so be VERY careful when removing him from the package, I almost undid the knot as the end of the belt was stuck to the tray.

To keep in scale with the turtles, Splinter stands roughly 5.5 inches tall.

Splinter actually has an articulated “toe joint” on his foot.

The turtles’ beloved sensei. In the movie, his origin followed the original comics’ take more closely, being an actual mutated rat, rather than the cartoon take of a human becoming a rat.

Splinter’s ear was sliced off when he fought against Hamato Yoshi’s killer (the Shredder) when he was still a pet rat in the movie.

He also comes with a canister of ooze, but unlike the movie, which showed a canister that was cracked in half, this accessory is still a solid single canister with a crack damage on the side sculpted in.

Pizza!

While Splinter does come with a pair of nunchucks (just like in the final scene in the first movie), it’s difficult to get the figure to hold it properly. There’s no real grip, it’s basically just sitting in his hand and the slightest vibration can tip it out of his palm.

With his sons, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

If memory serves, behind the scenes of the original movie(s), Splinter was actually a full puppet (kinda like Yoda from Star Wars) while the turtles were stuntmen in suits with heads that were controlled via remote control to facilitate their facial expressions. Jim Henson Studios was really something amazing back in the day.
