Twisted and sadistic, Shrapnel’s insect form can control any electrical device (even Autobots!). Armed with a Gamma Ray Detonator grenade launcher in robot mode, Shrapnel is as dangerous as they come.
Admittedly, Shrapnel looks really good! It sure beats the old Legends Class release. It even looks much better than Kickback.

As a “bonus” for their “Evo-fusion” gimmick, Shrapnel comes with two additional blasters, which makes up his insect mode’s back legs in his alt mode.
All of his weapons can be combined to form a super weapon.
Perhaps Shrapnel’s most dangerous ability is to channel lighting during a storm with his antennae and hurl it at his opponents, easily shorting them out.
Weapons can be mounted on the insect mode.
I really like the execution of the clear plastic parts on this figure. Too bad it doesn’t open up though.
Overall, I’m very happy with how this one turned out. It captures the look of the character quite nicely in both modes and the transformation isn’t too difficult. The addition of the back leg blasters is a bit of a cheat but I guess it is what it is.
I can’t wait for Hasbro to roll out Bombshell so we can finally complete the Insecticon trio!
