Transformers Legacy Velocitron Galaxy Shuttle

Shuttle mode

All of the weapons can be mounted on the Shuttle mode.

Cybertronian Coal-Car

The coal-car can be unfolded to form a crawler platform. Do note that due to certain issues with the design, the platform cannot fold out flush on surfaces, it’s slightly bent upwards.

It can also be modified into a launch platform.

Train mode

I can’t say I like the way the white sticks out all over the place in between the halves of the figure.

The coal-car can be connected to the train’s rear “thrusters”.

All weapons can be mounted on the train when the coal-car is connected.

Galaxy Shuttle

Appearing in the Japanese only Transformers Victory series, Galaxy Shuttle served as the Autobot Army’s main mode of mass transport across space. Even then, he is rarely seen in the series. For the most part doesn’t have any real interactions with the other Autobots, so not much about his full personality is revealed. He does have a unique ability called the “Meteor Crusher” attack, which gathers a vast number of meteors, and turns them and himself into a ball of fire, followed by crashing into his opponents.

The figure is a retool redeco of Siege Astrotrain.

The Coal-Car becomes a backpack of sorts. It plugs into the shuttle thrusters on Galaxy Shuttle’s back.

All of his weapons can be stored onto the coal-car.

Parts of the backpack can be removed to serve as “platform shoes” for Galaxy Shuttle.

Galaxy Shuttle comes with the same weapons that Siege Astrotrain does.

JF-50 Ionic Displacer Blasters

JF-30 Astro Blaster

W-15 Destabilizer Cannon

W-40 Turbo-Core Derailer

Fully kitted!

Like Astrotrain, all of his weapons combine to form the “Omni-Force Orbital Cannon”.

Overall, A pretty good reuse of the Astrotrain design. I really like the colors here more than how it went with Astrotrain (except in train mode) and it’s nice to see Hasbro churning out characters from the TF Victory Saga. Here’s hoping we get more to fill out the TF Victory character roster.

For some reason, this figure was not released in Asia. I had to ask a friend in Canada to help me out with this one (thanks Erik!)
