Transformers Retro Carded Seaspray

As the Autobot’s Naval Defense specialist, Seaspray is unmatched when on the high seas. He loves the oceans of any planet he’s on. When on land, he is slow and sluggish and not as effective in any situation. Seaspray prefers to stay in his alt mode to explore the vastness of the sea.

Since this is meant to homage the vintage toy, his visor doesn’t feature his eyes, which we can normally see in the cartoon models. I’m thinking of whether to order stickers sheets for his eyes or wait and see if Hasbro will do a follow up version later.

In robot mode, he needs to look a little tubbier to be screen accurate IMHO.

Seaspray comes with his blaster.

When not in use, the blaster can be pegged onto the side of his shoulder pylon, to act as a shoulder cannon of sorts.

Seaspray’s blaster can be mounted on the side of the alt mode.

Overall, pretty good. Seaspray features all-new tooling and is pretty close to his G1 counterpart with the exception of his visor. He’s also a great addition to the almost-complete updated Minibot team (we’re only missing Windcharger, Tailgate, Outback, Powerglide at this point, with half of those mentioned already coming out next year).
The figure was released as a Walmart exclusive, along with other Retro carded style Transformer “minibot” figures.
